The Pride Center of Terre Haute (PCTH) provides essential support services for the LGBTQIAP2S+ community in Terre Haute, addressing needs such as health education, legal name changes, resource access, and more. Located in downtown Terre Haute, our center serves as a centralized hub for community events, workshops, and networking opportunities for LGBTQIAP2S+ individuals and allies. By offering a safe, inclusive space, we aim to significantly enhance the quality of life for LGBTQIAP2S+ individuals in our community.

The Pride Center grounds all its actions and decisions within its guiding values. We’re dedicated to:

• Celebrating and affirming everyone’s unique identity and journey, be it within the LGBTQIAP2S+ community or as allies.
• Honoring intersecting identities and ensuring equitable access to resources and services.
• Actively working against systemic oppression of LGBTQIAP2S+ and other marginalized groups.
• Building strong, sustainable partnerships rooted in mutual support and growth within the local community.
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of our community members.

Furthermore, our goals encompass practices rooted in anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and multicultural frameworks, ensuring representation and support for marginalized groups at all levels of our organization.

The Pride Center offers a comprehensive range of services and programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our community. Some of the services include:

• Monthly social, educational, and cultural programs.
• Hosting of annual Pride Month events.
• Support groups in partnership with local mental health agencies tailored to various identity groups within the LGBTQIAP2S+ spectrum.
• A hygiene closet, chest binder exchange program, contraceptives, post-gender confirmation surgery care kits, and more.
• Business advising services, legal clinics, and educational trainings tailored to different professions.

Moreover, the center actively engages in advocacy and policy issues, partnering with organizations like the ACLU of Indiana and Indiana Legal Services LGBT Project to address challenges faced by the LGBTQIAP2S+ community at various levels.
